Academic learning continues to be a main focus at James Hill. We have the shared believe that the primary responsibility of each member of the organization is to ensure high levels of learning for every child.

For students who struggle in numeracy and literacy, we work through a systematic process of Response Tiered Intervention and have three resource teachers, Ms. Candido, Ms. Cesarone and Ms.Timmer, who provide classroom, small group support. Ms. Timmer also provides LLI support for early literacy at our school. In addition, we have a strong and very supportiveĀ  SEA staff to help student learning with small group or one-to-one support.

These supports help to close the learning gap early by offering extra support in addition to their regular reading program.
