Academic learning continues to be a main focus at James Hill. We have the shared believe that the primary responsibility of each member of the organization is to ensure HIGH levels of learning ALL children.

For students who struggle in numeracy and literacy, we work through a systematic process of Response Tiered Intervention and have three resource teachers, Ms. Candido, Ms. Meiners and Ms. Chan, who support classroom Tier 2, small group support and Tier 3 small group support. Ms. Chan also provides LLI support for early literacy at our school. In addition, we have a strong and very supportive SEA staff to help classroom, small group, and one-to-one student learning support.

These supports are designed to help close the learning gap by offering extra support in addition to their regular academic program.
