Newsletter: September 6

September 6, 2019

Dear James Hill Families,

What a fabulous first week of school! It has been so wonderful to see all the students and families again after summer holidays! Teachers have been working countless hours this week building class lists for students’ permanent classes. They carefully consider the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of each student in order to create the greatest opportunity for success for all our kids. We are excited to have students move into these official classes on Monday!

Monday Classroom Placements:

On Monday morning, your child will head to the same classroom exterior door as they did for the first week of school. For your convenience, your child will also be dismissed out of that same door at the end of the day on Monday.  During the day on Monday, your child’s new teacher will give them a slip of paper that day with their teacher’s name and classroom number.

On Tuesday morning, your child will line up outside their PERMANENT classroom door (as indicated on the slip that your child will bring home on Monday). Signs will also be posted on the doors to assist you in finding the new classroom.

Students may bring any purchased school supplies with them on Monday. If you purchased your supplies through Staples with the school, they will be distributed Monday by staff.

Parking Lot Safety:

Just a friendly reminder to all families that in the drop-off/pick-up lane, drivers must remain in their vehicles and pull forward to keep the flow of traffic moving. Also- students and families are reminded to use the crosswalk when leaving the parking lot to walk towards the school. Modeling these safe parking lot practices is important for our students! Thank you for your cooperation!

Breakfast Club Reopens September 16!

Come join us for a delicious FREE breakfast on Monday, September 16 from 8:00-8:30 each morning. Reminder that students should be supervised by an adult in the Breakfast Club.
